New Members
Are you new to cycling, or just thinking about joining the 'ROADS' but aren't really sure if it's for you? Call any of the members mentioned under 'CONTACT' for an informal chat about cycling in the West Midlands and Walsall Roads in particular. They will be able to provide you with all the information you need, with absolutely no obligation to join. Riding a bike is a bit like swimming - once you’ve learned you never forget.
The Club welcomes all riders age 16 and over, regardless of their ability. Anyone wishing to be considered as a member should contact our Hon Membership Secretary Phil Gambles (see CONTACT). We understand that joining a cycling club can seem like a daunting decision if you’re new to cycling, so we've put together a few Frequently Asked Questions to help.

To find out more about cycling and Walsall Roads Cycling Club, come along to one of our Club nights. The Club meets every Friday night at 9:00pm at the Scouts hut (shown below), Middlemore Lane, Aldridge.

Ride With Us
Sunday Club runs are a year round activity for the social side of the Club.

The number of riders depends on various factors such as the weather and clashes with the racing calendar, typically numbers vary between 4 and 10 riders. Check the events page as on the day of a club event or club open event there shall be no club run. Sunday club runs start from 'The Turf" public house on the A5 (roundabout between Watling Street, Lime Lane and Walsall Road) at 9:00am.
There are various less formal club runs held midweek and on Saturdays, for more information come along to one of our Club nights.
ALL PARTICIPANTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR OWN BEHAVIOUR AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE ROAD. IDEALLY, ALONG WITH ARRANGING THEIR OWN INSURANCE COVER. PLEASE ENSURE YOUR BIKE IS ROADWORTHY.

Subscriptions
Annual Subscription rates are less than you might think:
Juveniles (up to 16 years) £6
Juniors (up to 18 years) £10
Seniors £20
Ladies £20
Second claim 50% of first claim rate
Membership year commences 1st Jan and subs are due before the 28th February. (Members who have not paid are not able to race). Subs paid by those joining July to October pay 1/2 Subs.
